The short version
- No analytics, no ad trackers, no cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is a
localStorageflag remembering whether you chose to load the market-data embeds. - We collect one piece of personal data, only if you give it: your email address for the alerts list.
- Third-party chart embeds (TradingView) load only after you click to enable them.
- Launch data is fetched by our server, not your browser — your IP address is never sent to the launch-data provider.

What we process, why, and for how long
- Alerts email (optional). If you subscribe, we store your email address and the timestamp of your consent. Legal basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Kept until you unsubscribe (one click on this site, or the unsubscribe link in any email once sending begins). We will send a confirmation (double opt-in) before the first issue. Your address is never sold, shared, or used for anything except the alerts described next to the form.
- Anti-abuse counters. When you submit a form, a counter keyed to your IP address exists for up to 24 hours to limit abuse (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f), legitimate interest). It stores a number, not your submissions, and expires automatically.
- Privacy-request notes. If you use the contact form below, your message (and email, if you include one) is stored for up to 90 days while we handle it.
- Server logs. Our host (Cloudflare) processes connection metadata (IP, user agent) to serve and protect the site, as any web host does.
Third-party content
- TradingView widgets (price charts, news feed) are embedded third-party content. They are off by default and load only after you click "Load live SPCX charts" — at that point your browser connects to TradingView, which processes your data under its own policies. Use the "Disable embeds" link to withdraw that choice at any time.
- Launch Library 2 (The Space Devs) supplies launch data. Our server fetches and caches it, so normally your browser only talks to us. If our cache is unavailable, your browser fetches the launch list directly from
ll.thespacedevs.comas a fallback — in that case The Space Devs sees your IP address like any website you visit (their project info). - Satellite orbit data (CelesTrak GP/SATCAT) is fetched once daily by our update job, never by your browser. The 3D map runs entirely on your device. The "overhead check" uses a point you tap on the globe, processed in your browser only.
- MY SKY (optional geolocation). If you tap MY SKY, your browser asks for location permission. The position is used once, entirely on your device, to compute which satellites are above you — it is never transmitted, stored, or logged by us or anyone else. Decline (or ignore the button) and tap a spot on the globe instead; the feature works identically.
- External links (SEC, press, community sites) are normal links; we add no tracking parameters.
Processors and transfers
Hosting and storage: Cloudflare, Inc. (Pages, Workers KV), under its data processing addendum incl. EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We use no other processors.
Your rights
GDPR Arts. 15–21: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent at any time (unsubscribe = withdrawal). You may complain to your supervisory authority (Romania: ANSPDCP). California residents: we do not sell or share personal information (CCPA/CPRA); the rights above mirror your access/deletion rights.
